Artwork Story: Inspired by the incredible (currently un-described / unnamed Abdopus Sp.) Octopus’ of Northern Australia. One of my favourites to observe when exploring the tidal rock pools revealed at low tide. The reference pictures I used for this painting were taken while I spent some time with a few of these species one sunset not too long back. They went from firstly showing me this defence display while squirting water at me, to then eventually getting comfortable with me there, as they started hunting again, climbing onto the land moving from one rock pool to the next, while changing colours.
5% of the proceeds of each print sold will go to a Wildlife Conservation / Rehabilitation Centre.
