Artwork Story: The inspiration for this piece comes from the beautiful Perth Hills. On those chilly winter evenings when the sunlight is fading, and the shadows start to cover the bushland, leaving behind the last of golden light on the leaves of the Xanthorrhoeas. The Birds are catching their last feeds for the day, and the small marsupials are just starting to move about the forest floor. I chose to add the Scarlet Robin to this piece as I've seen so many around lately and I love the way they're so silent and observant often watching you long before you even notice they're there. I really hope as you look at this painting, you feel this story through it.
Original Painting was completed in June 2023 with acrylic on canvas.
