Artwork Story: The beautiful Baudin’s Black Cockatoos. This piece shows two males standing tall and proud, keeping an eye out &protecting the rest of their crew. I wanted this piece to represent all the strong, brave & incredible males we are solucky to know. Those who stand by, stand up, show up, and are always there to count on. The reference photo I usedwas from a collection of images I’d taken down in Bridgetown, WA. As I was finishing a walk through the forest, adozen Baudin’s landed on a dead tree close by, it was such a surreal & beautiful moment to see these criticallyendangered birds up close, and a moment that will stay with me.
