Artwork Story: The reference photo I used for this piece was of a beautiful male Splendid Fairy Wren that landed right in front of me while I was out on a bush walk in the Perth Hills one sunset. Him and his lady friend were hopping about the floor catching some insects for dinner while taking an interest in what I was up to and following me along as I walked. It was such a special encounter.
